It has been a wild run! After almost a year of planning and preparation, we first got the keys to our new business in August 2020. Unfortunately, due to Covid, we launched in December 2020 with very tight restrictions. Take out only. We were unable to properly launch our English/Irish inspired pub for full capacity until March of 2021. We were just getting started. The classic pub fare food, along with the North American/European inspired menu items were a hit! As was our expansive cocktail menu featuring four different Mott’s Clamato based Caesars! Sadly, in April 2021, we were forced to close yet again due to Covid. We reopened in June of 2021. Things were looking great over the summer.
Sadly it got worse for us! As luck would have it a fire in the neighboring bay shut us down for yet another SIX months starting September of 2021. We reopened again in March of 2022, for a third time. We have been pushed to the brink, but we are still here! Being a new business during the pandemic we qualified for no federal assistance. The fire insurance coverage we had only provided just enough support to get us back open again. The prize money from this competition would be a huge help for us! As would the publicity and credibility winning would provide! We are incredibly passionate about what we do and of course…Caesars! Nominations shall be submitted by residents of Canada who are legal drinking age or older in their province of residence. There are six (6) Prizes consisting of one (1) First Prize of $25,000 CDN, one (1) Second Prize of $15,000 CDN, one (1) Third Prize of $10,000 CDN (all awarded through form of a check to be won by a Bar/Restaurant) and up to three (3) Backyard Lounge Prizes (ARV: $5,000 CDN EA) to be won by Nominators. Odds of winning the First Prize, Second Prize or Third Prize depend on number of eligible entries received, judges’ scores and number of votes received.
